ROCKFORD, Ill. (WREX) — Two teenage males were apprehended by Rockford Police on Saturday morning after reports of vehicle break-ins on Brownfield Road.
According to police, officers responded to a call around 7:35 a.m. on March 30 and found two teenage males matching the suspect description on Florida Drive.
After a short chase, both teens were arrested.
The 17-year-old was placed in juvenile detention, while the 13-year-old was released to their family.
The Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office authorized the following charges:

Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
Criminal Damage to Property
